Hi; this isn't so much a review of this book, as to help people, because I too, hate when I find I already have something; when you literally read thousands of books, it's hard to remember them all. My understanding is that if it is a first time print Nora Roberts book it will have the gold oval with the NR initials in it on the cover; otherwise, expect that it is a reprint.

Lessons Learned Silhouette Language of Love #25 Nora Roberts 9780373510252 Books Reviews

Another hit by Nora Roberts. I love tales of Italian chefs, cooking, etc. Love the follow up with Summer the pastry chef--Love that Franconi is finally bewitched by a lovely woman. Wish there could have been a little bit more about the "Chef Industry" with a few more references to cooking, etc. but as usual Nora Roberts spun the tale well. Thanks for an enjoyable book.
A Romance novel. Not one of Nora Roberts best novels. It’s a feel good easy romance with very little drama. An easy read.
Nora Roberts never disappoints me. I've read both books in her Chefs collection and both were very good. If you like romance, food and power struggles, you will love this book. It made me want to make Linguini, but, there was no recipe for me to follow.
Her life, ambition & future are I'm New York. Possibly a husband don the road when she has established her own firm.
His life is n Rome, his mother and many sisters plus he world class restaurant. Sparks fly when a three week publicity tour bring them together for a whirlwind tour to promote his 3rd book. The tour ends - he goes home alone. Surely this can't be the end or is it?
I never thought a day would come where I would rate Nora one star. There is absolutely no story line here. The characters are not well developed. The book just goes round and round on the mundane. I absolutely loved Summer Desserts, and bought this one immediately after thinking it would be just as great, unfortunately, it was greatly lacking. If I could return it for a refund I would.
Not my favorite Nora Roberts book, but, as usual, I found myself immersed in the novel's setting within the first few pages. This is the story of a famous international Italian chef and the woman who is his PR contact for a 3 week book tour through the United States. She doesn't cook and his life focuses on food and feeding people, but each finds the attraction and common respect between them to be compelling.

This book was more of a conventional romance than I expect from Nora Roberts.
Nora Roberts is an exceptionally talented author. Her early works are weaker than what she does later when she has honed this talent. Lessons Learned is only Ok. Too much hopping from place to place. Too much repetition. Not enough substance. If you are a first time reader, don't use this as an example of her later books. Her books come in three distinctly different parts early, which are simplistic; middle which are amazing; and later (current) which are most likely not written by her at all. Look for her midcareer works. They are very, very special.
